The main objective of the Mpumalanga Education Trust is to provide scholarships, bursaries, awards and other financial support for tuition, study and/or research, at pre primary, primary, secondary and/or tertiary levels, for the Beneficiaries.

The Beneficiaries of the Trust are children and youth:

  • Who are younger than 30 (thirty) years old and permanently reside in South Africa; &

  • Who the Trustees determine to be deserving of financial support for their education, based on their poor economic circumstances and/or their good prior academic performance or other promising abilities.

At least 75% (seventy five percent) of the Beneficiaries must be Black South Africans as defined by the B BBEE Codes.

The Mpumalanga Education Trust is an effective vehicle to support the education of children and dependents of staff members while maximizing Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) recognition.
